Clean, large and well-located branch in ♡ Nuremberg, directly opposite the Frauenkirche on the main market; always friendly, helpful and competent employees; very extensive assortment of gingerbread etc .; The serving of coffee etc. is currently # covid19 not possible. In Corona times, mask compulsory control of the number of customers in the store via basket compulsory, signs Coron rules are displayed, also information / control by staff -> without = no access! ?? It is also disinfected regularly / after each customer. ? I always like to shop there.

The Gingerbread House Winding is directly at the beautiful Nuremberg main market. Here you can get gingerbread in different variations. You can also enjoy the very good coffee to go with it. What was a shame, however, that the Elisen Lebkuchen tasted okay but were older and dry. Unfortunately, we only noticed this at home. It's a shame there is room for improvement here. The business is very nice and modern. The service friendly and helpful. The price / performance ratio is okay. The hygiene measures are observed, it is mandatory to wear a mask. Vegan organic gingerbread! :-) And they are just super tasty, very juicy & nutty. Absolute buy recommendation, among others in the range of Edeka and tegut. Only wish for improvement: Larger quantities for less plastic waste;)

Of course there are typical drinks of a coffee here. I would particularly recommend the gingerbread cocoa. Light gingerbread flavor, strong cocoa taste, far less sweet than it sounds. In contrast to the gingerbread, which definitely want to be tried, because they are fresh and they are delicious! First classic with almonds, then alternative variants.

The waitresses are super friendly and helpful, the gingerbreads are the best - you could say - in the country! The nut corners are the best I've ever eaten. You feel in good hands around the clock.

There are many places to try the famous speciality food from Nuremburg called lebkuchen. Our favourites came from Wicklein - Die Lebkuechnerei which occupies a 15th-century building at Hauptmarkt in the city centre. Here you can buy large freshly-baked lebkuchen cookies as well as bags and tins of these delicious cookies. Opening hours are 10am to 7pm daily (closed on Sundays). We really enjoyed the big cookies sold from the counter as soon as you enter the Wicklein shop. You can buy original plain lebkuchen or those topped with chocolate and sprinkled with various other ingredients. Texture is very soft and flavour is really nice, a good blend of honey, ginger and nuts. They make for a great snacks to enjoy while browsing the Christmas markets and delightful streets of Nuremburg. We purchased 5 of the Wicklein gingerbread cookies and returned to Hong Kong and have been really enjoying them since. Sadly, they will be finished soon.

We had a gingerbread baking course. Was very interesting and informative. The lady who gave us the course really did a great job! Highly recommended if you are in Nuremberg. The gingerbread is not cheap but due to the high quality ingredients the price is justified. Wicklinge gingerbread is awesome, highly recommended is the vegan gingerbread. Be sure to try!

Wonderful delicious gingerbread. Nice coffee at the same time with very nice staff. Just when you enter the shop / coffee rises a great smell in the nose. The gingerbreads are freshly baked but there is also a large selection of packaged products. In addition, a kind of gingerbread workshop is offered. More details can be found on the homepage.

Nuremberg = gingerbread. You come into the shop directly on the main market and smell cold winter days, white Christmas, the scent of gingerbread! Large selection also "cheap" broken goods, ..... great, bought way too much and everything was super delicious !!!!!

Despite statements to the contrary, NO real hot chocolate is offered, but only chocolate pieces dissolved in milk for drinking.

Here I had the best gingerbread in my life! They even make it fresh in the shop and they pack it very nice if you take it as a gift. Really amazing good! It costs about 5 euros a fresh made one but it's big and it tastes incredible!
